Jaipur, June 4 -- A Congress delegation led by state president Govind Singh Dotasra and Leader of Opposition Tikaram Jully on Tuesday submitted a memorandum to governor Haribhau Bagade seeking a fair probe into the corruption charges against ex-minister Udailal Anjana against whom the Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) has sought an approval to lodge an FIR. "Recently, some newspapers claimed that the ACB has sought an approval from the governor to lodge an FIR against former minister Anjana in connection to a large level forgery in the Gram Seva Sansthan (GSS). We submitted a memorandum to Bagade today (on Tuesday) asking for a fair probe into the matter," said Dotasra after meeting with the governor. Attacking the BJP-ruled government, the Congress leader said: "The BJP government is unnecessarily intimidating Anjana like they did several other Congress leaders as they do not have any other work to do in the government." He said that the Congress has urged Bagade to consider the memorandum and launch a fair probe before giving any approval. "However, he said that he did not receive any such application from the ACB to prosecute Anjana. But he will consider it once he gets it." In response, BJP spokesperson Laxmikant Bharadwaj said, "Few days ago, Dotasra said that Congress's words are taken in more consideration in Rajasthan government than the BJP. Why is he so scared now ? If Anjana is innocent, he should let the probe continue."htc...
