Jaipur, Oct. 17 -- State minister for cooperation Gautam Kumar Dak said the state government has extended the cooperative membership campaign's duration till October 22. Camps will be organized across PACS on all days except holidays on October 18 and 20. Initially, the campaign was scheduled from October 2 to 15. Dak said that so far, approximately 8,500 PACS-level camps have been successfully conducted, focusing on five major activities, all yielding encouraging results. He emphasized that the primary objective of the campaign is to enrol more youth and women into cooperative societies. As a result of these efforts, over 871,000 new members have been added. Under the campaign, surveys have been completed in 1,688 gram panchayats to establish new PACS in villages lacking them. Of these, district-level committee meetings for 1,288 PACS have already been held, and proposals for forming 1,208 PACS have been submitted to the department. The minister also informed that 1,340 cooperative societies with landless or insufficient land have been identified for warehouse construction, and 1,213 societies have applied for land allotment. 38,437 farmers had their Aadhaar seeding and 27,209 farmers completed e-KYC for pending PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi applications....
