Jaipur, Oct. 16 -- Chief minister Bhajanlal Sharma unveiled the "Viksit Rajasthan/2047" vision document on Wednesday, outlining a roadmap for economic growth, sustainable development, and inclusive progress in the state, in alignment with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's national goal of a developed India by 2047. A release from the CM's office said the vision document lays out a comprehensive roadmap for holistic development, emphasizing empowerment of the poor, youth, women, and farmers while ensuring inclusive growth across sectors. It envisages Rajasthan as a leading state by 2047, contributing to nation-building through world-class infrastructure, transparent governance, environmental sustainability, and citizen empowerment. The plan includes sector-specific targets in education, healthcare, water management, urban development, environmental protection, and socio-economic empowerment. Rajasthan aims for 100% literacy, skill-based education, accessible and modern healthcare, climate-resilient water management, smart urbanization, and affordable housing. Women and youth will receive focused opportunities for skill development, entrepreneurship, and leadership, ensuring their active participation in the state's growth trajectory. The vision is structured around four pillars and 13 sectors. The first pillar focuses on public welfare and social empowerment, including agriculture, health, education, and social inclusion. The second pillar emphasizes rapid development, prosperity, and employment generation through industrial, mining, and tourism growth. The third pillar centres on future-ready infrastructure, water security, environmental sustainability, and climate adaptability. The fourth pillar targets enabling policies, finance, and governance to strengthen rural and urban development, digital services, and fiscal management. "The Rajasthan government has set a target of creating a $4.3 trillion economy by 2047. In agriculture, climate-resilient and technology-driven farming is projected to boost productivity by 40%. The vision aims to ensure universal access to healthcare, reduce maternal mortality to 15 per 100,000, bring infant mortality below 10 per 1,000 live births, and raise life expectancy to 77 years. Industrial growth is expected to generate over one million direct and indirect jobs," the release said. In education, skill-based learning systems, computer-enabled smart schools, and 100% school enrollment by 2047 are planned. Women's workforce participation is targeted at over 60%, and exports are projected to quintuple. The state plans to expand renewable energy capacity from 33 GW to 290 GW and provide 24/7 electricity supply.
