CM unveils Rs.719-crore development projects in Bikaner, slams Cong
BIKANER, Dec. 17 -- Chief minister Bhajan Lal Sharma on Tuesday launched and laid foundation stones for infrastructure projects worth Rs.719 crore in Bikaner district, while attacking the opposition Congress over its development record.
Addressing a public meeting in Lunkaransar, Sharma said his government's achievements in two years had surpassed the work done by the previous Congress administration during its five-year tenure.
When we place our two years of work against the five years of the Congress government, they have no answers, Sharma said, claiming that nearly 70% of the promises made in the Bharatiya Janata Party's Sankalp Patra have already been fulfilled.
Before the rally, the CM laid foundation stones for 42 development projects costing around Rs.612 crore and inaugurated 21 projects valued at Rs.107 crore. He also laid the foundation stone for a sub-district Hospital in Lunkaransar, to be constructed at an estimated cost of Rs.40 crore.
Sharma said the government is presenting a report card directly to the public after completing two years in office. He added that development work was being carried out uniformly across all 200 Assembly constituencies without political bias.
Referring to investment initiatives, the CM urged the youngsters to become job creators rather than job seekers. He said Memorandums of Understanding (MoU) signed during investment summits were now being implemented on the ground, generating employment and self-reliance opportunities through industrial supply chains....
