Jaipur, Sept. 18 -- Rajasthan chief minister Bhajanlal Sharma on Wednesday marked Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 75th birthday with a series of symbolic and service-oriented initiatives in Jaipur, calling the Prime Minister the leader who transformed India into the world's fourth-largest economy and set it on course to become the third. Speaking at the launch of the 'Swachhata Hi Seva Abhiyan-2025' at City Park, Jaipur, Sharma extended greetings to the Prime Minister on behalf of the state's 80 million people. "From Digital India to Make in India, Jan Dhan Yojana to Ayushman Bharat, every initiative has lifted India to new heights," he said. Highlighting Modi's 11-year tenure, Sharma credited his leadership for expanding social welfare, strengthening national security, and enhancing India's global standing. "His decisive steps-from the abrogation of Article 370 in Kashmir to the consecration of Shri Ram temple in Ayodhya-have shaped a new era for the nation," he said, adding that Operation Sindoor was a fitting reply to those who threatened Indian women's dignity. Linking the day to service and public welfare, Sharma pointed to the remarkable success of the Swachh Bharat Mission, launched in 2014. "At that time, only 38% of households had toilets. Today, with the construction of over 110 million toilets, coverage is near 100%," he said. He also cited Jaipur's recent inclusion in the top-20 cities of the national Swachh Survekshan rankings, with Dungarpur and both Jaipur municipal corporations receiving star ratings and awards for sanitation and waste management. He also underscored progress in the Hariyalo Rajasthan campaign, under which over 120 million saplings have been planted this year-surpassing the 100 million target. In Malviya Nagar, Sharma inaugurated urban service camps as part of the fortnight-long Seva Pakhwada. These camps, he said, will serve as "one-stop solutions" for citizens, offering birth, death, and marriage registrations, fire NOCs, trade licenses, sewer connections, leasehold-to-freehold conversions, and other civic services. "This initiative reflects PM Modi's vision of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas aur Sabka Prayas," Sharma noted. In a lighter moment, the chief minister visited a roadside tea stall in Jaipur's Mansarovar area, where he brewed tea, served it to locals, and made a digital UPI payment for his cup. He also directed local representatives to link roadside vendors to the PM SVANidhi scheme for sustainable livelihoods. At Jawahar Kala Kendra, Sharma inaugurated the NaMo Exhibition, showcasing the Prime Minister's flagship programmes including Make in India, Digital India, Vocal for Local, and Atmanirbhar Bharat. The exhibition also featured installations on Operation Sindoor and the Ram Mandir consecration. A short film under the "Modi Story" series, depicting inspiring moments from the PM's journey, was also screened. The day's events, attended by ministers, MPs, MLAs, senior officials, and a large public gathering, included the launch of a sewerage policy, distribution of PPE kits to sanitation workers, tree planting at City Park, and an oath-taking ceremony where citizens pledged to make cleanliness a lifestyle. Deputy chief minister Diya Kumari inaugurated the Seva Pakhwada by participating in a blood donation and medical camp in Jaipur's Vidyadhar Nagar, where she donated blood and gave a message of service....
