Jaipur, July 29 -- Chief minister Bhajan Lal Sharma on Monday lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi for launching Aspirational District and Aspirational Block programmes and said that the state government was committed to institutionalising inclusion and making good governance a core part of administrative culture. Addressing the state-level Sampoornata Abhiyan felicitation ceremony at HCM RIPA on Monday, Sharma said that in January 2018, PM Modi, inspired by the philosophies of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay and BR Ambedkar, launched the Aspirational Districts Programme to bridge regional disparities and bring backward districts into the mainstream of development. "Rajasthan's Baran, Jaisalmer, Dholpur, Karauli, and Sirohi districts are part of this initiative. In 2023, 27 blocks from Rajasthan were also included in the Aspirational Blocks Programme."
