CM: Will make Raj global tech, innovation leader
Jaipur, Jan. 5 -- Chief minister Bhajanlal Sharma on Sunday said that the state government is keeping investors' needs and ease of doing business in focus while framing its policies.
In this direction, the government has introduced initiatives such as the Rajasthan Global Capability Center Policy, Rajasthan Data Center Policy, and Rajasthan AI-ML Policy, which are expected to transform the state into a major information technology (IT) hub.
Sharma was interacting with delegations of companies invited to the Rajasthan DigiFest TiE Global Summit-2026 at the Chief Minister's Residence.
He said Rajasthan offers immense investment opportunities and is fast emerging as a preferred destination for investors. Referring to the Rising Rajasthan Global Investment Summit, Sharma said that out of MoUs worth Rs.35 lakh crore signed during the summit, ground-breaking ceremonies for projects worth Rs.8 lakh crore have already taken place, reflecting strong investor confidence in the state.
"The sacred soil of Rajasthan not only provides returns on investment but also gives a sense of satisfaction," said chief minister Sharma, inviting investors to become partners in the state's growth story.
The chief minister called upon investors to come to Rajasthan in large numbers, assuring them that the state government stands shoulder to shoulder with them.
"Together, we will make Rajasthan a global leader in the fields of technology and innovation," he said. Sharma also directed officials to maintain continuous coordination with investors and ensure swift action on their suggestions and requirements.
Highlighting the government's commitment towards women empowerment, Sharma said special efforts are being made to uplift women economically. He instructed officials to connect women associated with Rajeevika (self-help groups) with startup ecosystems.
Chief secretary V Srinivas said that a favourable industrial and investment-friendly environment is being created in Rajasthan. With progressive policies like the Global Capability Center Policy, Data Center Policy, and AI-ML Policy, along with more than 7,000 IT startups, the state is establishing a strong network of IT and IT-enabled services.
Representatives of participating companies said Rajasthan is rapidly progressing on the path of development. They noted that India has now become the world's fourth-largest economy.
The delegates also shared suggestions related to sectors such as artificial intelligence, medical science, green investments, startups, manufacturing, data, skill development, and logistics.
The three-day Rajasthan DigiFest TiE Global Summit is being held at the Jaipur Exhibition and Convention Centre (JECC) from January 4. The event is witnessing participation from over 10,000 delegates, more than 500 investors, and around 300 exhibitors. The summit aims to familiarise startups and students with global digital advancements, provide mentorship from global experts, and offer networking opportunities with leading industrialists and investors from across the world....
