centre approves six-lane elevated road in Jaipur
Jaipur, March 15 -- The Union ministry of road, transport and highways (MoRTH) on Saturday approved a six-lane elevated corridor at the Jaipur-Kishangarh section.
Union minister Nitin Gadkari, said, "A six-lane elevated road at the Jaipur-Kishangarh (length 89.785 km) section of National Highway-48 in Jaipur and Ajmer districts of Rajasthan including construction of a flyover and a service road has been approved at a cost of Rs.910.90 crore."
"This corridor will be developed as a partial access controlled highway, which will help in increasing the average speed of vehicles and reducing the travel time from the current two hours to about one hour."
"Separating the local traffic, the provision of service roads and flyovers on both sides will also contribute to safety. Existing friction points on this section will also be addressed to reduce the number of accidents and fatalities," he wrote on X.
Following the development, chief minister Bhajan Lal Sharma extended his gratitude to the Union government.
