budget for fy27 incorporates digi-governance push, says cmo
Jaipur, Feb. 19 -- The Rajasthan government has announced a wide-ranging digital governance push in the 2026-27 Budget, an official release from the CM's office said on Wednesday.
According to the statement, as part of the "Next Generation Citizen Service Reforms", the government will implement the Once Only Principle, under which citizens and entrepreneurs will be required to submit documents just once. In a major digital outreach initiative, 100 important public services will be made available via the WhatsApp platform, allowing residents to access services directly through their mobile phones. Additionally, 25,000 youth and women will be authorised as Mini e-Mitra service providers to deliver mobile-based public services at the grassroots level.
The government has also proposed the phased establishment of Smart Service Centres in all urban local bodies.
These centres will facilitate online issuance of birth, death and marriage certificates, fire NOCs and other licences and permissions.
To advance the vision of a "Digital Rajasthan", a new IT Policy has been announced. A Digital Infrastructure Facilitation Policy will allow startups, MSMEs and citizens to access State Data Centre services at affordable rates.
