BSF constable dies of heart attack on duty
Barmer, July 20 -- A Border Security Force (BSF) head constable posted at the India-Pakistan border in Jaisalmer district died of a suspected heart attack while on duty. The deceased, identified as Amrit Singh (56), was immediately rushed to Jawahir Hospital after his health suddenly deteriorated, but doctors declared him dead. According to officials, Amrit Singh was posted at the Rohatas post under the 122nd Battalion, Echo Company of the BSF. On Friday evening, after returning from duty, he went to the bathroom to take a bath when he suddenly collapsed.
His fellow personnel quickly responded and transported him to Jawahir Hospital in Jaisalmer, where doctors declared him dead upon examination. His body has been placed in the hospital mortuary. BSF authorities have informed his family members in Punjab and called them to Jaisalmer. Once the family arrives, a post-mortem will be conducted, and the body will be handed over to the relatives....
