Bharatpur, Nov. 20 -- A Booth Level Officer(BLO),who was deployed for Special Intensive Revision(SIR) work, died due to cardiac arrest following a telephonic conversation with a tehsildar on Wednesday in Sawai Madhopur, his family members alleged. The deceased was identified as Hariom Bairwa, 34, who was a third grade teacher in state government Upper Primary school of village Sevti Khurd. He was deployed as a BLO of Behravnda Khurd village for SIR. Father of the deceased, Brijmohan Bairwa said his son was at home early morning where tehsildar was talking to him on the phone. The tehsildar was allegedly pressuring him over SIR work and he fell unconscious after the call, he said. He was taken to district hospital where doctors declared him dead. He was depressed because the officers were pressuring him over SIR work, the father said, adding he was unable to sleep due to SIR workload. Tehsildar, Jay Prakash Rolan, said, "All allegations against me from family members of BLO for pressuring him are senseless. The directions which were given from the senior officials, were being given to him." Khandar police station SHO, Laxman Singh said investigation will be started after receiving a complaint from family members of the deceased. HT tried to contact Sawai Madhopur collector, Kana Ram and Bharatpur divisional commissioner, Teena Soni, but did not get a response.
