JODHPUR, March 18 -- The population of blackbucks in Rajasthan has witnessed a sharp decline over the past decade, with numbers falling from 27,818 in 2016 to 19,106 in 2024, according to a recent study. This alarming trend, coupled with habitat loss, predation, and human-induced threats, poses a significant conservation challenge for the species.
