Jaipur, April 29 -- The BJP attacked the Congress on Monday, saying that the party is doing a "drama" of portraying that the Constitution and democracy are under threat to keep the Gandhi family relevant. BJP leaders hit back at the Congress after the party's "Samvidhan Bachao" rally in Jaipur, in which Congress leaders alleged that the Constitution and democracy were in danger under the BJP. Addressing the media, Rajasthan BJP president Madan Rathore said, "Congress has insulted the Constitution and architect of the Constitution, Babasaheb Ambedkar. Congress imposed Emergency on the country. when the Supreme Court gave a ruling in favour of Shah Bano, Congress amended the Constitution and denied her, her rights. Congress government dismissed several democratically elected state governments. the killer of the Constitution is now doing this farce of protecting the Constitution and trying to mislead the people." Law minister Jogaram Patel said, "It is not the Constitution that is in danger, it is the existence of the Gandhi family that is in danger so to keep them relevant, the Congress is doing drama."
