Bharatpur, May 6 -- A police complaint has been registered against the BJP MLA from Khandar in Sawai Madhopur, Jitendra Gothwal, and his supporters for allegedly assaulting toll plaza employees, police officers aware of the matter said on Monday, adding that the MLA's brother also filed a counter complaint against the toll plaza employees. The incident took place at the Bhadoti toll plaza on Lalsot-Kota mega highway in Bonli on Sunday where the clash broke out among the toll plaza employees and the MLA's supporters, police said. Gothwal said, "My personal assistant informed me about the clash when I was in Sawai Madhopur BJP office for a public hearing. He told me that my wife, children and brother were crossing the toll plaza but the employees told them to stop the MLA car. They threatened to assault my family members as I raised demand against illegal mining in the assembly. My brother opposed them, following which they attacked my family members." "I reached the spot soon and rushed the injured to the district hospital. The toll employees have been involved in snatching and looting people," he added. Radha Raman Gupta, Bonli police station in-charge, said that complaints from both sides have been registered. Toll employees alleged that MLA and his supporters came there and started to attack.
