Alwar, May 20 -- Hours before chief minister Bhajan Lal Sharma's scheduled visit to Alwar, Leader of Opposition and local MLA Tikaram Jully accused the state government of engaging in petty politics and lowering democratic standards.
"Earlier, the BJP used to orchestrate resignations of MPs and MLAs. Now, they are resorting to manipulating resignations of directors from institutions like Saras Dairy. Chairman Vishram Gurjar served with honesty, yet the government ordered an investigation against him. When no wrongdoing was found, the dairy directors were intimidated into resigning," Jully said at a press conference.
He added that "central minister Bhupender Yadav is surrounded by land and liquor mafia elements".
In response to the remarks, Alwar BJP president Ashok Gupta criticised Tikaram Jully for "misguiding people regarding developmentss works done during BJP rule"
"Bhupendra Yadav has completed one year as Alwar MP and people of Alwar have full faith in him that he will fulfill all promises made during the election," he added....
