Alia Bhatt's morning skincare routine: 8 steps to glowing skin
India, Dec. 14 -- Glowy skin doesn't always require a heavy makeup routine, and that's something actor Alia Bhatt often demonstrates. Her approach to skincare is simple and consistent, centred on hydration, barrier care and sun protection rather than harsh treatments. She has shared glimpses of this routine across her social media, including Instagram reels and YouTube videos. In one such video, Alia breaks down her eight-step morning skincare routine. Here's a closer look at what her morning regimen includes:
A gentle wake-up for your skin
Alia begins her day with a gentle, non-stripping cleanser to remove overnight oil, sweat, and impurities. She prefers a foam-free, mild formula that doesn't leave her skin feeling tight or dry. After cleansing, she massages her face with a skin massager to boost hydration and even out her skin tone.
A splash of hydration
Next, Alia spritzes a toning mist onto her face, but avoids harsh, alcohol-based toners, to refresh and prep her skin for the following steps.
Goodbye dark circles
"A good under-eye cream can reduce dark circles and dryness," Alia says. She applies 2-3 pumps and gently spreads it across her face.
Skin shield and glow
"Niacinamide helps get rid of fine lines, protects the skin from dirt and pollution, hydrates, and supports skin cell regeneration," Alia explains. She also applies it on her neck and hands for extra care.
Caffeine solution drops
Alia applies caffeine solution drops to her face, mainly to de-puff and reduce dark spots under her eyes. She notes, "You can skip this. I use it as this solution retains water and de-puffs the puffiness under the eyes. And this solution helps give my eyes freedom from dark spots."
Moisture, minus the weight
Once the serum is absorbed, Alia applies a lightweight moisturiser with ceramides to lock in hydration. She prefers a light formula that nourishes without feeling heavy: a key step, especially in changing weather conditions.
Sunscreen, a non-negotiable step
Alia never skips sunscreen. She uses a broad-spectrum SPF 50 and follows the "more-is-more" mantra. Sunscreen protects against UV damage, premature ageing, uneven tone, and pigmentation.
Soft lips, always
Finally, she applies a peptide-based lip balm to keep her lips soft, hydrated, and free from dryness or cracking....
