Jaipur, Sept. 9 -- Deputy chief minister and district in-charge minister Diya Kumari has directed officials to ensure every possible support to families affected by flooding after the Boraj pond embankment breach in Ajmer. She said compensation and relief would be provided in line with survey findings and government norms. During her visit to the affected areas, the deputy CM noted that residents trapped due to waterlogging had already been shifted to a government school that had been turned into a temporary shelter, where food, water, medicines were arranged. Diya Kumari stressed the need for both immediate and long-term measures. She instructed officials to conduct a comprehensive survey for quick compensation to victims, ensure proper drainage arrangements, and prepare for the reconstruction of the pond embankment after the monsoon season.
