ACB catches Jaipur SI taking Rs.1.25-lakh bribe
Jaipur, Nov. 20 -- A sub-inspector in Jaipur's Gandhi Nagar police station was detained by the Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Wednesday while taking a Rs.1.25 lakh bribe, officials aware of the matter said.
According to ACB Director General Govind Gupta, the bureau received a complaint alleging that Sub-Inspector Rajkumari Juneja, posted at Gandhi Nagar police station, had demanded a bribe of Rs.2 lakh for not taking action and for ensuring a final report (FR) was filed in favour of the complainant.
"The action was taken based on a complaint by an individual. The sub-inspector, Rajkumari Juneja posted at Gandhi Nagar Police Station, Commissionerate Jaipur East, demanded the bribe for not taking any action against him in a fraud case lodged in 2024," Gupta said.
"She was caught red-handed while accepting Rs.1,25,000 as part of the bribe," Gupta said, adding a case was lodged under Prevention of Corruption Act....
