A new era of digital health has begun, says minister Khimsar
Jaipur, July 25 -- Medical and health minister Gajendra Singh Khimsar said on Thursday that a new era of digital health has begun across the country and the world.
The Rajasthan government is also promoting technology and digitisation in the healthcare sector.
The state's medical department has implemented the Rajasthan Digital Health Mission, under which all health services are being brought online in a mission-mode approach.
To digitally maintain public health records and make health services more accessible, ABHA (Ayushman Bharat Health Account) IDs are being created. So far, over 63 million ABHA IDs have been generated in Rajasthan, placing the state second in the country.
The minister said on the occasion of signing an MoU between Rajasthan University of Health Sciences, Jaipur and Koita Foundation, Mumbai to launch the Digital Health Foundation Course.
He said Rajasthan has a vast network of medical institutions, and digitisation plays a crucial role in running these facilities efficiently and delivering convenient services to patients....
