Jaipur, May 1 -- A 17-year-old girl was allegedly gang-raped by nine people when she had gone to attend her friend's wedding in Jhalawar on Tuesday night, police officers aware of the matter said on Wednesday, adding that all the accused have been detained for questioning. Station house officer Bhupesh Singh, said, "The incident took place at around 11.30pm. All the nine accused are known to the girl and have been detained." "At around 11.30pm, she came out of the wedding venue and went to a nearby field to defecate when the nine accused abducted her and took her to a desolate place and raped her repeatedly," said the SHO. The officer said the accused raped the minor for over six hours and left her in the field. "The girl returned home and narrated her ordeal to her parents," said Singh.
