55-yr-old man visits a woman, beaten to death by her nephews
BARMER, June 22 -- Police in Ramsar, Barmer district, have arrested two accused for beating a man to death allegedly because they were upset over his visit to their aunt in Barmer district of Rajasthan, an official aware of the matter said on Saturday.
The incident occurred on the night of June 18 when the accused went to meet a woman at her home. Angered by his visit, the woman's two nephews followed him, caught him, and allegedly beat him to death in front of her house.
Head constable Khetaram Jakhar from Ramsar police station said the victim, Photaram (55), son of Mehraram and a resident of Tamliyar Fojaniyon Ki Dhani village in the Ramsar area, had gone to meet a woman, who is a widow, at her house on Wednesday night. During his visit, the woman's nephews-Dhanaram and his brother Chelaram- attacked Photaram. Along with others, they attacked him with sticks, leaving him seriously injured.
Upon receiving information about the incident, Ramsar police reached the spot and found Photaram lying injured in front of the woman's house. He was immediately rushed to Ramsar Hospital, where doctors declared him dead.
Later, an FIR was lodged against all the accused based on the complaint filed by the victim's mother. Police are currently interrogating the accused to identify others involved in the attack....
