Jaipur, July 7 -- A five-year-old boy died and five others were seriously injured after the ceiling of a house collapsed in Sriganganagar district on Sunday morning due to heavy rains, officials aware of the matter said. Sub-inspector (SI) Govind Ram said, "The incident took place when the family was sleeping in the house. Due to heavy rains and thunderstorms, the roof of the house suddenly collapsed. The house was built on low-land. The incident led to the death of five-year-old Manu Kumar, while five others from his family had also been hospitalised with critical injury." The SI said that another house in the same area also collapsed in the morning but no casualty was reported as it was empty at the time of the accident. On Sunday, highest rainfall of 210 mm in the state was recorded in Sawai Madhopur's Chauth Ka Barwada. The meteorological department, on Sunday, issued an orange alert for six districts: Sriganganagar, Hanumangarh, Sikar, Jaipur, Dausa, and Karauli for moderate to heavy rainfall in the next 24 hours....
