5 cops, 1 criminal injured after police bus rams truck in Dausa
Bharatpur, Sept. 4 -- Five police personnel and a hardcore criminal were injured after a police bus carrying them from a jail to court, rammed into a truck from behind on Wednesday in Dausa district.
The accident took place on the Jaipur-Agra national highway under Dausa Sadar police station.
Police bus was taking hardcore criminal Dharmendra Gurjar alias Lukka from Parbarsar jail in Didwana district to present him before the court in Dholpur for hearing.
The police bus rammed into the truck,which was parked on the roadside.
On being informed, police reached the spot and pulled out all cops and criminal and rushed them to Sikandra hospital.
Dholpur Superintendent of Police, Sagar Rana said that five cops were injured. Two injured cops were referred to Jaipur while three cops are undergoing treatment in Sikandra hospital.
Hardcore criminal Dharmendra Gurjar alias Lukka is undergoing treatment in Dausa district hospital with no critical condition.
The traffic system was blocked during the accident but the traffic on the national highway was resolved soon, Rana said.
Dharmendra Gurjar alias Lukka, who faces more than 25 charges of murder and loot, was arrested last year but Didwana police arrested him on a production warrant.
He was in Didwana jail while the cops by police bus were taking him to Dholpur court for hearing....
