4 teachers suspended for exam negligence
Jaipur, May 28 -- At least four teachers in Rajasthan have been suspended for three years for alleged negligence while evaluating Class 10 board exam papers, officials privy to the matter said. Rajasthan Secondary Education Directorate, Bikaner said in its order that two teachers were suspended in Alwar and other two from Didwana-Kuchaman.
"The senior teacher Om Prakash Saini in Alwar Railway Station Secondary School was given the charge of distributing the answer sheets of Mathematics in Alwar during the secondary exam. However, he assigned the job to an intern student who sent the papers to another senior teacher of the school Meenakshi Arora. She was found taking pictures of the answer sheets and uploading them on social media," the order read.
The directorate suspended both Saini and Arora for three years for 'not maintaining the confidentiality of the papers.'
"In another incident, a senior teacher of Nimbari Makrana Senior Secondary School in Didwana, Bhavruddin, was assigned to evaluate at least 366 answer sheets of Sanskrit during the exam," the order read. It stated that Bhavrudding took help of his colleague Pradeep Sharma for caging the papers. "But Pradeep got the job done by his father at a grocery shop. A video of the incident also went viral on social media last week." The directorate suspended both of them for three years....
