336 doctors in training sent to border districts
Jaipur, May 10 -- The department of medical education has strengthened health services in border districts and key medical institutions as part of its disaster management strategy.
Medical education secretary Ambrish Kumar directed swift implementation of necessary measures. Following this, a comprehensive disaster management action plan was rolled out across healthcare institutions in Rajasthan's border regions. The plan ensures the deployment of senior residents, operational readiness of medical equipment, steady drug supply, and enhanced hospital preparedness. Kumar said as part of this initiative, orders have been issued for the deployment of 336 Senior Residents (SRs) to hospitals in Jodhpur, Bikaner, Barmer, Ganganagar, and Hanumangarh.
The deployment matrix has been shared with the principals of the respective medical colleges, who have been instructed to coordinate with administrative control centers. It is mandatory for faculty and SRs to remain present during their deployment, and college administrations will manage logistics for the teams.
