Jaipur, Sept. 16 -- Three people drowned while bathing in a river in Bhilwara district on Monday, police said, adding that the deceased were relatives of the seven victims of Saturday's car accident on the Ring Road near Prahladpura, and had just finished performing their last rites. According to Shahpura deputy superintendent of police Om Prakash Bishnoi, the victims were identified as Vardi Chand Mali (34), Mahendra Mali (25), and Mahesh Sharma (35. Vardi Chand and Mahesh were swept away first, said the DSP, adding that Mahendra was killed after he jumped in with three others to rescue them but was also swept away. "All three died on the spot," said Bishnoi. Meanwhile, three others, identified as Vijay Singh (30), Mukesh Goswami (25), and Rakesh Mali (28) were injured in the incident and are under treatment currently, he added. On Sunday, seven members from two families, including two minors, died after the car they were travelling in lost control and fell off a bridge near Jaipur in Rajasthan on Sunday, police said. According to Shivdaspura police station house officer (SHO) Surendra Soni, the incident occurred at around 1am when the car fell off the Ring Road near the Prahladpura area. "The car was discovered by locals in the underpass at 12.30pm. The passengers were returning from Haridwar after performing the last rites of one of their relatives," Soni said. The officer said that the underpass was under-construction with locals rarely frequenting the area, which is why it took almost 12 hours for the car to be found. "On Sunday afternoon, the locals discovered the damaged car lying overturned on the underpass and reported it to the police," the SHO said, adding that police later reached the spot upon receiving information, recovered the car and its passengers using a crane....
