Barmer/Jalore, Oct. 29 -- A road accident on the Bharatmala Expressway in Jalore claimed the lives of a businessman, his wife and their young daughter on Tuesday morning, police officers said. The car crash occurred near Sanchore around 11:30 am when a Fortuner SUV, reportedly coming from the wrong side, collided head-on with their car. Upon receiving information about the accident, a police team reached the spot. According to police, the deceased have been identified as Arun Bhai (35), his wife Vandana (33) and their 4-year-old daughter Dhiyara, all residents of Jasol. Arun was a cloth trader based in Surat. Arun's cousin Bharat and his son Pahal sustained critical injuries in the crash. Two men travelling in the Fortuner were also reported to be seriously injured. The impact of the collision was so severe that the front portions of both vehicles were completely mangled. Police and locals rushed the injured to a private hospital in Sanchore for treatment. Authorities have initiated an investigation into the incident and are probing how the Fortuner entered the expressway from the wrong side....
