Kota, April 17 -- Three people were killed and over a dozen others were injured after a sleeper bus travelling from Ahmedabad to Madhya Pradesh overturned near the Hanging Bridge in Kota, police said on Thursday. According to police, the accident took place after the bus crossed the Hanging Bridge and was passing through the Nayagaon Pulia stretch when the driver reportedly lost control, and the bus hit the divider before overturning onto the opposite lane. Three people who had fallen onto the road were run over by a truck coming from the opposite direction, police said. Additional superintendent of police (Kota City) Dilip Saini confirmed that three passengers died on the spot while around 20 others sustained injuries.
