Bharatpur/Nagaur, March 8 -- Three children drowned, and their mother is undergoing treatment after they were found in a water tank in Nagaur district, police said on Saturday. The incident took place in Baswadi village under Sadar police station on Friday night when the grandparents returned to the house from the farmlands and found them drowning in the uncovered water tank. Villagers reached the spot, pulled the three children and their mother from the tank and rushed them to JLN hospital, police said. Sadar police station in-charge Suresh Kumar said, "Doctors declared the three siblings dead, while their 25-year-old mother is undergoing treatment." The deceased were identified as two five-year-old twin sisters and their two-year-old brother. The bodies have been handed over to family members after post-mortem on Saturday, police said.
