3 children killed in sikar sand mound collapse
Sikar, April 1 -- Three children died after being buried under a mound of sand that collapsed while they were playing in a field in Sikar district of Rajasthan, police said on Tuesday.
The incident occurred on Monday afternoon in Ganedi village under the Nechwa police station limits. Station house officer Kailash Chand said four children were playing near a field and had dug a tunnel inside a sand mound when it suddenly caved in, trapping three of them underneath. By the time the villagers rushed for help, the children had died.
