3 arrested for raping class 10 girl in tonk
BharatpuR, Dec. 24 -- Police in Tonk have arrested three men, including the prime accused, for allegedly raping a minor girl and sought two days of police remand for them, officials said on Tuesday.
Tonk circle officer Mrityunjay Mishra said a woman approached the local police station on Friday to file a complaint against a man and his two associates for sexually assaulting her 15-year-old daughter.
According to the complaint, the victim, a Class 10 student, was befriended on Instagram by the main accused, who allegedly introduced himself as an unmarried man. Over several weeks, he built trust through frequent chats and video calls before asking her to meet. He called her to meet him on December 10 and took her to a house on his motorcycle, where his two colleagues were also present.
Inside the house, the accused allegedly locked the door, raped the girl, and recorded obscene video clips. His aides waited outside. The accused later left the girl in the city and allegedly threatened to circulate the videos on social media if she spoke about the incident.
After returning home, the victim narrated the ordeal to her mother. Police registered a case, took the girl for medical examination, and recorded her statement. A special team was formed to trace the accused, who were later arrested under relevant sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and the IT Act.
The arrested men were all 22 years old. Police produced them before court on Monday, where two accused were remanded in custody for two days for interrogation, officials said....
