Barmer, June 26 -- A 24-year-old man suffered 85% burn injuries after he set himself on fire in Pali district allegedly after rejection from a 22-year-old woman he was reportedly in relationship with, police said on Wednesday. "The man was reportedly engaged to the woman but was later called off some years ago. After this, the woman got married but later got divorced. Three days ago, he returned to his village from Mumbai, where he worked at a clothing shop, specifically to meet her. However, the woman allegedly did not show up to meet him, which left him heartbroken," said Mul Singh, investigating officer. "On Tuesday, he made a video call to the woman and asked her to meet him. However, when she did not come, he threatened to set himself on fire in another video call. The incident took place at around 10pm. He was rushed to a hospital in Pali and later referred to Jodhpur. He suffered 85% burn injuries," he said. He added that an investigation has been initiated into the matter....
