Bharatpur/Jhunjhunu, Feb. 27 -- Two men were arrested on Thursday for kidnapping and raping a 16-year-old student in Jhunjhunu district, police said. According to the police, the incident took place on February 8 under Mandawa police station when the two accused, aged 24 and 26, kidnapped the victim from the her school's entrance and took her into a car. They then took her to a secluded place and raped her, police added. They then threatened to kill her if she told her family members about the incident, police said. Brijesh Jyoti Upadhyay, Jhunjhunu Superintendent of Police, said, "The victim's father filed a complaint against the two men for kidnapping and raping his minor daughter. After registering the complaint under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (Pocso) Act against two accused, the victim was taken to hospital for medical examination and presented before the magistrate to record her statements." Hari Singh Dhayal, Rural Circle officer was appointed as the investigation officer in the case and two teams were formed to search for the absconding accused, who were arrested on Thursday....
