Udaipur, Dec. 3 -- In a major breakthrough, a pickup truck loaded with illegal explosives - capable of causing destruction across a radius of nearly 10 kilometres - was seized in Nathdwara Shrinathji on Monday, police officials said. The explosives were being transported from the Amet area towards Nathdwara. Police secured the vehicle and started counting and examining the seized material. Investigations are ongoing to determine the nature of the explosives, their source, destination, and intended use. Assistant sub inspector Sohan Singh Jhala, the investigating officer, said, "A case has been registered against the accused. The explosive has been seized and the case has been registered against the driver under the sections of Explosive Act." Rajsamand SP Mamta Gupta. said, "During the search of the vehicle, police recovered a large amount of explosive material. However, these explosives are majorly used in the mining sector. However, they were carrying them exceeding the guidelines limit. Prima facie, there was no link to any terror plot as was being suspected initially."
