2 Gujarat-based men killed in road accident
Bharatpur, Dec. 27 -- Two men from Gujarat were killed in a road accident after their SUV collided with an unidentified vehicle in Sawai Madhopur district, police said on Friday.
The accident occurred around midnight on Thursday on the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway under the Bonli police station limits. On receiving information, police reached the spot and rushed the injured to the Bonli Community Health Centre, where Kamal Gohil (35), a resident of Vadodara, was declared dead by doctors.
Another injured person, Tejasvi Solanki (32), a resident of Bhavnagar, was referred to Jaipur for advanced treatment, but he was declared dead by doctors there.
Bonli police station in-charge Jitendra Singh said the two men, both residents of Gujarat, were travelling in an SUV when it collided with an unidentified vehicle. After the collision, their vehicle fell into a ditch near the expressway.
Police said efforts are underway to identify and trace the vehicle involved in the accident, which fled the scene. The family members of the deceased have been informed, and the bodies will be handed over to them after completion of legal formalities....
