Jaipur, July 14 -- A 17-year-old NEET aspirant raped a 15-year-old girl studying in the same coaching institute as him in Kota multiple times for over a month, officials aware of the matter said on Sunday, adding that he is absconding. Bhimganj Mandi station house officer (SHO) Ramkishan Godara said that the girl shared her ordeal with her parents on Saturday after the coaching faculty noticed that she barely attended classes for nearly a month and informed her parents. "Recently, the coaching faculty noticed that the girl was absent from the classes for a month and informed her parents. On Saturday, she told them about the incident," he said. "The accused was staying in a rented accommodation in the girl's neighbourhood. They began interacting on social media recently and started meeting frequently," SHO Godara said, adding that according to a preliminary probe, the accused allegedly started blackmailing the girl last month. "During the class time, he used to forcefully take her to some other places and rape her," he said. The accused arrived in Kota two years ago for the NEET preparation while the girl, a resident of Kota, joined the same coaching centre a few months ago, officials said. A case was registered against the accused under relevant sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (Pocso) Act on Sunday. "Both the accused and the victim are minors. The accused is also absconding. We are trying to locate him. The victim's medical examination has been conducted. Further investigation into the matter is underway," the officer added....
