12 held for gambling in Dholpur, say police
Bharatpur, July 14 -- A total of 12 people were arrested for allegedly being involved in gambling in Dholpur district on Sunday, police said, adding that Rs.4 lakh and three cars were seized from them.
"On the basis of a tip, a team of Maniya police station and District Special Team conducted a raid in Bichaula village and arrested 12 people, including Ramvir Kushwaha who is the leader of the gang. From the accused, Rs.402,200 and three cars - a SUV and two bolero jeeps - were seized," said Ram Naresh Meena, Maniya police station in-charge.
He further said that the accused have been booked under BNS 112 (penalises for petty organised crime) and 13 Rajasthan Public Gambling Ordinance Act....
