'Never seen a more fragmented Cong': Rathore slams Pilot
Jaipur, Aug. 25 -- Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Rajendra Rathore on Sunday said that the Congress was never seen more fragmented than it has been in the recent days.
"I have never seen a more fragmented Congress. Their leader Sachin Pilot barely attended any assembly proceedings or raised any question or issue in the last few sessions. Meanwhile, (Congress state president and Laxmangarh MLA Govind Singh) Dotasra insulted the pride of the assembly with his constant unruly behaviour when the legislative leader Tikaram Jully was present in the House," Rathore said at a press conference.
He further said: "Look at their protest rallies in the last few days! There is not more than a hundred of people. The district presidents, block presidents are running their own lobbies. Dotasra feels that he had kept the entire party in his pocket."
Taking a dig at the Congress, Rathore also said that the Opposition do not have any proper issue to raise and therefore are blaming the BJP in the name of "Vote Theft". "When Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi win themselves, when Congress and its allied parties win in Karnataka, West Bengal, they don't find any example of vote theft. They only raise this allegation when they lose," he said.
Praising Bhajan Lal Sharma-led BJP government, the former leader of Opposition also said that the crime rate has been decreased in the state while the government is also working to increase the employment opportunities and improve the other development sectors.
"Congress and (former CM Ashok) Gehlot is now blaming us for delaying the panchayat and urban bodies election because we are trying to implement One State One Election policy to save the public money. He must remember that how he dragged this election for over 23 months from May 2020 to December 2021 only to ensure their electoral benefits across the wards and panchayats. Such allegation of unconstitutional conduct of election doesn't suit in his mouth," he said.
Rathore also criticised the Congress for the growing unemployment in the state. "During their tenure, over 17 papers have been leaked out of 19 exams before the test which is now being probed by the SOG. Many such fraud in the hiring process have also been found everywhere. Rajasthan was the third in the country in unemployment rate. Now the BJP government is taking necessary actions against those culprits, conducting fair exams, and creating jobs."
He added: "Our government is the first to issue a job calendar and we are also hiring people constantly. Rajasthan is now third from the last in terms of unemployment."
Referring to the recent allegations of fraud in smart meters by Congress, the BJP leader said, "It is Gehlot who started the smart meter projects. In 2022, he also passed a policy and directed to install smart metres everywhere in 10 months. They are now making it an issue when the BJP government is trying to fix the flaws in the project."
Reacting to Rathore's allegations, Congress spokesperson Swarnim Chaturvedi said: "BJP is trying to avoid answering the question raised by Congress leaders in the assembly. Congress has always been united. Rather, it is BJP who is fragmented and therefore CM is visiting Delhi frequently to handle the situation."...
