'illegal' office of beawar cement unit demolished
Jaipur, May 27 -- The "illegal" office of the Beawar-based cement factory was bulldozed on Monday days after its owner was arrested for tying up a 35-year-old truck driver upside down from an earthmover and assaulting him for over three hours based on a suspicion of theft, the CMO said.
"Chief minister Bhajan Lal Sharma has taken a stringent action against the accused in Beawar's Raipur who tied a man upside down from an earthmover and inhumanly assaulted him. Accused Tejpal Singh had encroached upon a government land on the impassable hill near his cement factory and had constructed six concrete rooms and offices, one RCC water tank and two tube wells, encroaching upon about one bigha of land," an official statement from the chief minister's office (CMO) said. "The district administration with the help of police removed this encroachment on Monday."
Tejpal along with his partner Parameshwar were arrested on Saturday after a purported video of them tying a 35-year-old truck driver, Yaqub, upside down from an earthmover and assaulting him inside the factory on April 7, surfaced on social media on Friday night....
