India, Sept. 8 -- He has been part of the television industry for over 30 years now, and Manish Wadhwa feels content has improved each year. The actor, known for his roles in shows such as Chandragupta Maurya, Paramavatar Shri Krishna and Peshwa Bajirao, says the medium is still "essentially for women".

"Serials mostly revolve around female characters, because often, the audiences are women. Female characters get preference, positive or negative," he adds.
