Jaipur, Sept. 12 -- Chief minister Bhajanlal Sharma on Thursday said that the Congress seems to prefer social media to the assembly as a platform for key discussions. Addressing a workshop held in Jaipur for the BJP's upcoming Sewa Pakhwada programme, he said, 'Congress avoids the assembly, which is the key platform to discuss important issues. They prefer to make bizzare comments and discuss matters on social media. They are more concerned with politics of appeasement while BJP is concerned with development in every sector." "We have seen how (Congress state president Govind Singh) Dotasra barely attends sessions. Sachin Pilot and Ashok Gehlot are also rarely seen. They have nothing to discuss and create unnecessary deadlock in the assembly," he added. He also attacked the Congress for opposing the anti-conversion bill, saying, "This bill has hurt them badly, But this bill has been passed. They will have to bear this pain forever. These are the people who talk about caste, appeasement and corruption. But it is not going to happen anymore." The comments were made at a workshop for workers at Rajasthan Agriculture Institute, organised to ensure smooth functioning of the plan for Sewa Pakhwada- a fifteen-day programme which will be initiated on September 17 to commemorate Prime Minister Modi's birthday. As per the schedule shared by the BJP, the programme will involve the promotion of various central government schemes in various institutions and sectors. "The historic work done by Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the upliftment of the poor and the underprivileged in the country is unprecedented," said the chief minister. Hitting back, Congress spokesperson Swarnim Chaturvedi said, "Both BJP and Congress MLAs are not getting proper answers from the government in assembly. They are not even willing to discuss any crucial issue...Congress was present in the assembly. But if BJP doesn't discuss anything, we will obviously protest."...
