Jaipur, May 22 -- The investigation into the Forest Guard 2020 exam case by Rajasthan's Special Operation Group (SOG) has revealed that the first solved question paper was received by the key accused in a hotel in Gujarat, a senior official said on Wednesday. A senior official from the agency's Banswara unit said, "The prime accused of the case Javra Ram, who is a government school teacher in Barmer, received the paper when he was in Ahmedabad few days before the exam. He, immediately called two of his other aides and lodged them in two separate hotels in Ahmedabad and Palanpur who forwarded the paper to more agents and candidates before the exam. However, it is yet not clear how Ram received the paper in Gujarat." According to the officials, the Forest Guard-2020 exam was conducted by the Rajasthan Staff Selection Board (RSSB) on November 13. However, a complaint of a massive cheating in the exam was registered on June 30, 2024 at Banswara's Rajtalab police station. At least 31 people, including Javra Ram, have been arrested so far. Earlier this month on May 6, the SOG also filed its first charge sheet in the case before the additional district and session court of Banswara. The officer said, "After getting hold of the question paper, Javra Ram paid Rs.2.5 lakh to a drug smuggler, Kanwra Ram, who was stationed in a hotel in Palanpur while another Udaipur-based government school teacher Harish Saran was also lodged in another hotel in Ahmedabad. Kawra and Harish were tasked to distribute the paper to the candidates and some other agents of the gang." He further said that Kanwra and Harish later reached Banswara and Rajsamand a day before the exam where they each had gathered a few candidates in a flat and provided them with the solved question paper. He said that another agent, who was tasked with selling the solved paper in Banswara on the exam day, had collected about Rs.2,800,000 and sent it to Harish in Jaipur....
