Gurugram, June 29 -- A 24-year-old woman riding a scooter died allegedly after being hit by a speeding car near Sector 42 on the Golf Course Road (GCR), police said on Saturday. They identified the deceased as Nargis (single name), who was originally from Amroha in Uttar Pradesh. The accident took place between 5am and 5.30am on Friday, when she was travelling towards Sector 57 from Sikanderpur. Investigators said she lived alone in a rented accommodation in Sector 57 and worked in a beauty parlour as well as for online platforms which provide similar services. Inspector Manoj Kumar, station house officer of the Sushant Lok police station, said that Nargis was hit by a speeding car while she was returning after attending to a customer. Kumar said that a private security guard spotted her lying in a pool of blood soon after the accident and alerted the DLF ambulance service in which she was taken to a private hospital in Sushant Lok Phase 1. However, doctors declared her dead on arrival. Based on the complaint of a neighbour in Sector 57, an FIR was registered under sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita at the Sushant Lok police station....
