Gurugram, Feb. 14 -- To ease the intercity traffic movement between Delhi and Gurugram, Union minister Rao Inderjit Singh, who is also the member of Parliament (MP) from Gurugram, said on Thursday that he would try for connecting city's Southern Peripheral Road (SPR), better known as Golf Course Extension Road, with Delhi's Nelson Mandela Road.

Singh, who was in the city to review the ongoing civic development work, said that he would request Nitin Gadkari, the Union minister for road transport and highways, for the construction of an alternative road connecting the two cities.

Singh is the minister of state (independent charge) for statistics and programme implementation.
