Turning to agrarian concerns, the ASP chief highlighted farmer distress, especially the ongoing shortage of DAP fertiliser. He promised that if his party comes to power, the procurement price of sugarcane would be increased to Rs.500 per quintal.
Chandrashekhar further revived the long-standing demand for establishing a High Court bench in western Uttar Pradesh. He said residents of the region have been demanding this for decades, yet successive Congress and BJP governments have failed to act.
