Gurugram, Dec. 17 -- At least 35 additional reflective crash-tyre barricades have been installed across Gurugram over two weeks as part of a "hazard marking" exercise to prevent accidents, officials said Tuesday. This follows installation of around 400 collision cushions since September. The latest installations come after a speeding car narrowly escaped a serious accident near Signature Tower on NH-48, ramming into such a barricade. Twenty-five barricades were placed on NH-48 and at DLF locations, with 10 more near Ambedkar Chowk in Sohna and Area Mall in Badshahpur. Deputy commissioner of police (traffic) Rajesh Mohan said, "To ensure safe movement of heavy vehicles at night, instructions were given to coordinate with truck unions and install reflector plates/tapes on the rear of all trucks to increase their visibility at night."
