Haridwar, Feb. 2 -- With the Sharadiya Kanwar fair set to commence from Monday, state police in Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh have intensified coordination to ensure smooth management, security and intelligence during the annual pilgrimage. Senior officers said the two state police forces will work in close coordination for intelligence inputs, traffic management, border checking, patrolling and crowd control. Special coordination mechanisms have been put in place between Uttarakhand Mela Police and the bordering districts of Bijnor and Saharanpur in Uttar Pradesh.
