SMOKE ALARMS GO OFF, ai flight returns to DELHI
NEW DELHI, Nov. 28 -- An Air India flight, AI 2939, from Delhi to Ahmedabad returned soon after take-off and make a full emergency landing at the Delhi airport on Thursday evening, due to suspected smoke. Officials said the smoke indicators went off, but this was later found to be false after requisite checks.
The flight, which departed at around 5pm, had 170 passengers on board. It landed safely around 5.30pm. "The crew operating flight AI-2939 from Delhi to Ahmedabad on 27 November decided to return to Delhi shortly after take-off due to a smoke indicator, which was later found to be false," said an Air India official. htc...
