Search on for man accused of killing minor in Haridwar: Police
Haridwar, May 21 -- The Haridwar police has intensified its search for the 45-year-old man who has been accused for killing a 4-year-old girl, police said on Tuesday.
"Nine teams from the city police and the Crime Investigation Unit are conducting investigations to trace the accused, identified as Suraj alias Ganju. He is a ragpicker and drug addict who may be using a wig to conceal his identity, as he is bald," said Pankaj Gairola, Haridwar (City) superintendent of police.
"The accused was known to the family and had been living with them in Khadda Parking, Rodibelwala, for past few months. They earned their living through ragpicking. The child's parents often left her in Ganju's care during the day," police said.
"On May 13, the girl and Suraj went missing. On May 16, a complaint was filed against Suraj after the girl's father found her body on the railway tunnel track near Mansa Devi," they said....
