School teacher hacked to death by ex-boyfriend in Rajasthan
Udaipur, July 2 -- A 36-year-old woman was hacked to death with a sword by her ex-boyfriend at a bus stand in Banswara district of Rajasthan on Tuesday morning, police said, adding that efforts are underway to locate the accused.
The victim, identified as Leela Tabiyar from Arthuna area of the district, was sitting at the Kalinjara bus stand when her former partner Mahipal Baghora struck her multiple times with a sword before fleeing the scene, police said.
"At around 10.30amm we got information that the victim, who was a government teacher, was sitting at the bus stand when the accused, her ex-boyfriend Mahipal Baghora, came there with a sword and attacked her," Banswara superintendent of police (SP) Harsh Vardhan Singh said, adding that further investigation is underway to ascertain the reason behind the attack.
Upon receiving information from passers-by about the incident, police soon reached the scene, the SP said. She was rushed to the district hospital where doctors declared her dead, he said, adding that her body has been sent for post-mortem examination.
"An FIR has been registered. We have constituted various teams under the supervision of deputy SP Bagidora circle. The hunt for the accused is on." htc...
